1956 HDD

Good history piece!

What’s being loaded into this plane?

1956-HDD

Its a hard disk in 1956…. WTF? :-O

Hard Disk Drive with 5MB storage in 1956.

In September 1956 IBM launched the 305 RAMAC, the first computer with a hard disk drive (HDD). The HDD weighed over a ton and stored 5MB of data.

Start appreciating your 1GB flash drives!

Boyce Avenue

www.boyceavenue.comWe were shopping at Trinoma last Sunday. While were in a Lonsdale Outlet, I heard this in-store-background music playing various acoustic version (With You, 4 Minutes, Beautiful Girls, Bleeding Love, etc.)… It was pretty good actually, I ask right away who was the artist that was singin. For some dumb reason, the sales representative (or whatever you call them), is hesitating to give me the artist name (i dont know why, i guess he was just trying to be greedy or something), but in the end, we managed to convince him to give us (at least) the name, after a couple of minutes of negotiating.

Anyway, I give this group 5 stars… i like them and I enjoy listening to them in the car, the office… etc… or i just got bored with maximum the hormones screaming… or maybe i just want something different for a change. ^_^

MP-04 Masterpiece Convoy and Trailer

Optimus Prime in Vehicle ModeAt looooong last… after months and months of convincing myself… i finally decided to buy myself a mudhafakin MP-04… if incase you dont know what I’m talking about… its actually the largest Optimus Prime Toyi (to date) out there… try searching in google or youtube (it all over the place). I’ve already uploaded some of my own photos to my multiply account (trying to save some space on my local web server). And when I have the time to finish my gallery page here in wordpress, I will upload them here aswell.

Back to the topic, the one i bought is actually made by Takara (which I prefer over Hasbro by the way). Even though it has some small paint chips (i guess its normal for a die-cast type of toy). And the chrome painted smoke stack (on the left side) have faded a bit (especially on the edges). But based from some review I found, its normal for this toy. I’m so happy, i feel like a total geek gone haywire…

Bottomline, I am very pleased with this toy, I had to really search for any cons at all (for both robot and vehicle mode). I highly recommend it to anyone who does not have MP-01. If you do have MP-01 then your choice is a bit more complex, I’m not sure I would dish out the extra cash if I just wanted the trailer. :-/

mental note: I’m not a collector, I just buy selected toys simply because I like them (alot). Also, I dont resell and I dont try to complete any “sets.”

Word for the Day: Delay

mental note: sa mga hindi technical dyan… sorry, you probably won’t understand 95% of what i am about to say here. >.<

its been a couple of weeks na nyan… we are having delays on our database (db) replication… siguro nagsasawa na ako sa kaka debug ng mga errors dahil sa replication delay ng db namin. I’m not saying na may problem sa db admin… its just some web applications & functions (or php codes) are not properly coded, which results in multiple errors within mysql… hence, website bugs (or glitches)…

i guess this is what you get for always getting the projects done in a hurry…

iPhone 3G Apple Page (for PH)

here is the URL: http://www.apple.com/iphone/countries/ph/

at least its 100% sure and safe to say that globe will be the official carrier for the iphone 3g here in the Philippines… i just stumbled on thier website and found this on apple.com website… the problem is wala sila online payment (just like the apple stote)… i guess, it would be more convinient (especially for people like me, who prefer buying online) to purchase an iphone using creditcard than going to some store and buying the phone from there… sana lang… haizzzz T_T
