Simple Instructions

I just created this tool for our CSRs here in my company. And the 1st thing I said was please change your password once signed in. (Well I gave them all the same password initially).

The passwords are all encrypted when i look at the raw value in the table. Guess what I saw. All have the same encrypted password. Meaning they haven’t changed their passwords. I guess it beats the whole purpose of all the tracking and user logs. if anyone of them is smart enough to try other account using a different password. instant access.

I guess I should have created a force change password once signed in for the 1st time. (like what google does). or maybe i initially gave them all different passwords to begin with. But its too troublesome to do both. i just let it pass.

bottomline, im just sharing this, incase anyone (who accidentally, for some reason) is reading this post and have the same problem.

iPhone 3.0 (Copy and Paste)

As per a very reliable web celebrity, Kevin Rose, via Diggnation Convention (i think)… the upcoming iPhone firmware will have the LOOOOOOOOONG awaited copy and paste feature… and to add all the goodies Palm Pre have, will be also included to this 3.0 firmware… Unfortunately as you will hear on the video… it still doesn’t have Video Recording… and i believe still no MMS…. im guessing those 2 features might be considered by apple on its 3rd Gen. ^_^

Update (2009-03-18): Its alot better that I expected. Click here for the CNET review

New iPod Shuffle

Apple just release a sleek upgrade for their iPod shuffle.

My opinion:

  • it has a better look (looks even better when its beside my MacBook)
  • I like the way you can organize your songs by totally ignoring the iPod itself. (since you have all the buttons you need near your face/head). Which is why you can only use Apple Earphones to use this.
  • very handy when you’re out jogging or working out.
  • VoiceOver technology tells you track information over your headphone
