MG Strike Freedom ZGMF-X20A (head, legs and arms)

I started working on the head. i just made it as is, i haven’t done any filing and painting yet. Actually for the head, i’ll just add panel lines and a touch or ‘top coat’ only. it looks good as it is anyway.

next will be the arms and hands. i noticed how big the hands are compared to the strike gundam. but i dont mind. its suppose to be a giant robot anyway. more gripping action (i guess).

After combining the head, arms and body together. i really like how the gold paint came out. looks good when its properly lighten. The only fall back is how stiff the joint become. But hey, im not complaining. Its just a ‘warning’ for those who want to make the inner frame of this kit look more gold.

as for the legs. i started working on them, but i noticed how late it was, and my wife’s making that ‘face’ again. you know, that face. anyway, took some photos before i went to bed.

as i woke up the next day, i started adding the armors and feet.

up next would be the weapons and accessories

i haven’t done any significant panel lining yet (just did some parts on the head and inner frame). will try to continue that some other day. Plus i’ll also add the decals next. (right after i panel lined it).

MG Strike Freedom ZGMF-X20A (body)

Today I started with the body part. and just like those other gunpla-ers (if there is such a word) who tired making the MG freedom strike’s inner frame look shiny gold, all the joints became “super” (and i mean super) stiff. i literally had to disassemble the model just to scrape off some plastic parts within the pegs and its connector. so far, so good. i guess when i reach the “legs and arms” part, i’ll do the same scraping method before i plug them in.

Anyway, here are some photos i took after constructing the body part.

MG Strike Freedom ZGMF-X20A (custom paint)

I just started painting the parts for my strike freedom today. It took about a month trying to find the “best” gold color i can use to convert and make this dull and yellowish non-shiny more eye candy. I tried not to put on too much paint cause based from other reviews I’ve read who tried painting this model kit, got a very stiff joints (which then made the model significantly hard to move). Anyway, i’ll try to post more photos if my fate will be the same as the others ^_^
